geospatial & construction engineering
Engineering Land Surveys
Experience with several governmental survey standards, including PennDOT, Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) Geospatial Positioning Accuracy Standards, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) No. 405 Standards for Aeronautical Surveys and Related Products. Honor has produced several ALTA/NSPS surveys and can certify Record As-Built surveys, FEMA Flood Elevation Certificates.
3D Laser Scanning
Honor utilizes high accuracy 3D Laser scanners for building and site models. We own and operate both static scanners and wearable SLAM units. The massive amount of points are exported as a point cloud, where our technicians extract features to produce accurate and usable three-dimensional models within Revit. The 3D model can be used for structural analysis, Building Infrastructure Modeling (BIM) and crime scene investigations.
Drone Aerial Photography & Mapping
The aerial team at Honor Engineer Co. is made up of Professional Land Surveyors and F.A.A. Part 107 certified commercial Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) pilots. Our mapping starts on the ground where we set a geodetic image control point network. The collected photography is rectified to this control and processed with powerful software. Here the photos are stitched together to create an orthomosiac and point cloud. Data is then extracted to produce accurate mapping.
Geographic Information System (GIS)
Utilizing our high-accuracy GPS, we can collect field data over vast areas enabling us to produce affordable large-scale mapping solutions for your utility assets. The inventory and assessment of utility features serve as the foundation of a great asset management system. Our skilled technicians use the data to create custom solutions within ArcGIS.
Subsurface Utility Engineering
Honor owns and utilizes Vivax-Metrotech Vloc3-Pro EM systems. Access points, such as water valves, telephone manholes and water meters will be connected to, and the underground facilities will be delineated using marking paint. The Honor team also utilizes Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to identify the locations of the target utilities, as applicable
Construction Inspection Services
Honor's team of qualified construction inspectors and resident project representatives ensure civil projects are built to specification. They assist contractors by answering questions, clearing up discrepancies, and acting as a liaison to the engineer. Our team holds various OSHA, Confined Space, and Competent Person certifications.
