Douglas M. Allwein, PLS

Biography

Doug is the majority owner of the firm, and serves as President/CEO. He has over 19 years of experience in the fields of land surveying and engineering, and is a registered Professional Land Surveyor in the states of Pennsylvania and Delaware. His technical specialties include stormwater design, topographic surveys, geodetic control, construction stake out and boundary determination. Doug is responsible for the administration, accounting, marketing and human resources management for the company. He also provides the vision for the company design, corporate strategies and company culture.  

Doug has been in the private sector since 2005 and has worked on a very diverse number of projects. Some examples include beach dredging, geodetic control, bridge rehabilitation, hazardous waste remediation and boundary retracement. He also has extensive experience with CAD drafting and GIS mapping.

Doug’s career started in the United States Army at the Defense Mapping School, where he completed the Geodetic Survey Course with honors. He then spent 5 years on active duty, earning commendation medals for survey work while forward deployed on missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2002, and Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. He was involved in numerous survey missions overseas, including Bagdad International Airport in Iraq and Kandahar International in Afghanistan, and all across the continental U.S.

Doug holds a Bachelor in Science Degree in Business from the Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is currently pursing a Master of Science in Quality Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. Doug is also a licensed Private Pilot (Airplane) as well as a certified FAA part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) operator.
