Slippery Rock University Electrical Upgrade
Project Overview
Honor Engineer Company provided land surveying and civil engineering services for the Phase 1 electrical infrastructure upgrade at Slippery Rock University. The project enhances campus electrical systems to meet current and future demands and is being delivered in accordance with PA DGS Project Procedure Manual standards.
Key Challenges & Solutions
The project requires comprehensive site evaluation and utility coordination across an active university campus. Honor performed aerial surveying, photogrammetry, and Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) at Quality Level B to accurately document existing conditions and underground infrastructure. Digital terrain models, orthorectified imagery, and supplemental surveys were developed to support phased design efforts.
Civil engineering services include site civil design, construction stormwater management, stream crossings, and preparation of NPDES and GP-5 permit packages. The work is structured through programming, schematic design, design development, and construction document phases to ensure coordinated, compliant, and constructible deliverables.
